Treasures thus far

As most people know the sole reason to travel to New Mexico besides the gorgeous landscapes, the friendly folks, and the rich culture is the extreme quanity of ethnic printed items. This is Halley and my favorite style and we couldn't wait for the treasures we would find.

Here is a peek at each one of our collections:
Halley's collection: Rug, Bed Spread, Throw Pillows, silver stud earrings (made by a street vendor in Old Town Albuquerque), thunder bird moccasins.

My collection: Rug, feather earrings (made by a street vendor in old town Albuquerque), thunder moccasins, and Milly postcard.

Inspiration: My Tribal Rug

I absolutely love ethnic rugs...and I finally scored this really old, but beautiful one. I love the turquoise, pink, pea green, orange, black, and white. The pattern is so simple, yet really ornate. I sit and eat breakfast every morning staring at it's color, pattern, and complexity. It will definitely be my inspiration for the week...

Cool bliss.

This lovely murky bluish grayish sea foam green has been showing up in my life for days... I always find it so funny that once you spot a color that you're really enjoying that it just keeps popping up!

The Inspiring California Coastline

Nothing is more inspiring than what is in our own backyard; The Mighty Pacific Ocean. It is truly magnificent and more beautiful than words can describe. Today we went on a little trip to Four Mile, a lovely surf spot/beach just up Highway 1. Here's a little look at the lovely palette. The gray craggy rocks, the dusty sand, the rich dark greens and that lovely blue sky and ocean!
